I noticed in a lot of unit set up pics posted people use isolation pads. I spent a good part of my life setting large HVAC units on roof tops and using pads for isolation of sound. Looked up some of those pads from dealers found them to be inexpensive so if anyone could give me some facts on usage and best types would appreciate it.

Here's a start. And they're also kinda blue.
Many people do indeed use Iso Blocks, available from many suppliers, and they are not expensive. Don't buy them from audio companies as they will rob you on the price. The link below is just one option.
I also use a thick Boos Block cutting board between the table and the Iso Blocks. This seems the best setup for me.
Yes Jim I have got the cutting board myself not set up yet was thinking of somehow using along with the iso squares any tips on how you set yours up would be appreciated.
Good the audio shops charge too much so I will try some inexpensive ones and see what they do for the sound.

There's also Vibrapods, very effective, they're sold by load range lol.

The inexpensive diversitech ones that some recommend are really made for vibration control under very heavy industrial AC equipment, not lightweight audio gear. They use super stiff foam.
But whatever works for you. I generally prefer to use a soft foam sandwich, it seems to be more effective isolation at audio frequencies and below.
