Thank you. Thorens TD160 super and goldring G2100. Not unsatisfied with it just thought a newer phono stage would sound better - my dealer/tech claims the Klyne is the best he has ever heard. Also I was going to give this preamp to my parents who are using a shitt passive that has only 2 inputs and they need a third input. If I keep this perhaps I could purchase a switcher box for them to add an input? I tried the main output but I prefer the tape outs to the passive - less dynamic but more detail.
Follow Ups:
My subjective but abiding experience is that no ss phono stage sounds as good as a good tubed one. In particular, I tried a Klyne at the suggestion of a friend years ago, and it was excellent, but not, to me, as good as the best tubed units I've heard.
