At least that's the claim...$650,000.Massive chassis (60 kg) from Corian - with integrated air spring feet.
Plate plate made of 3 materials - weight 20.5 kg stored on magnets.
Effective shielding by specially arranged Mu metal elements.
Speed detection with a tachoring (24,000 pulses / revolution)
Drive via two frequency-controlled motors with Hall sensors.
Tangential-tonearm - cardanic - longitudinally and height-adjustable.
Tracking angle verification and measurement by means of laser measuring system.
Fine adjustment of the scanning system in the zero path also with laser.
Precision linear unit powered by a specially developed
Linear motor - equipped with an absolute position measuring system.
Permanently traveling HD TV camera and integrated HD TV monitor.
Integrated digital tone balance under the parking position of the pickup.
Scanner system for the detection of the empty slots - Title selection via Smartphone.
W-Lan Internet connection for problem-free software updates and diagnoses.
Balanced audio output on XLR jacks. (Studiostandart)
S video output and BNC output of the HD TV camera signal.
All necessary parameters such as system operating hours, setpoint and actual speeds, feed and position of the linear unit, air pressure in the air spring feet etc. can be called up at any time on the touchscreen.I wonder how many have been sold or will be sold?

Huh? A camera? How does that affect the sound? Well, they must know what they're doing at that price. I'll take two!
Actually this designer sent me an email about 10 years ago with photos of an earlier prototype of that machine. It seems more about measuring cartridge setup than it does actually playing a record. So one asks; what is its purpose?
I did not publish his photo, mainly because I did not understand the function of it. And I still don't.

I'm pretty sure the Lirpa Turbo Steamtable with Nuclear Option is even more expensive.........

the *mere* $150k Clearaudio Statement is a bargain!
Using the one at Sea Cliff on several occasions was quite an experience.
It is substantially more massive at 350 kg(!), incorporates a magnetic platter drive and the whole upper structure gimbals in any direction like a ceiling fan when you give it a gentle nudge.
Naturally, I was extremely careful each time I played a disc. It was like going through a preflight checklist:
1. Disc thoroughly cleaned on HW-17. Check!
2. Demagnetized with Furutech device. Check!
3. Platter ring in place. Check!
4. Gain down. Check!
5. Goldfinger carefully cued over lead in groove. Check!
6. Release cueing and verify landing. Check!
7. Gain up - slowly. Check!
Phewww!
Now sit down, close your eyes and experience the walls disappear before you. :)

Yes, I think that is a Basis.
HP evaluated those before using a pair of Emitter 2s for powering the system with its massive flotilla of power supply and battery boxes. :)

They have been been building it for a while. How a connection that is the signaling standard of standard 480i definition video and isn't even as good as component video (S-Video) and what seems to be a single composite video output (one BNC connector) can be labeled "HD" is beyond me. Additionally, that monitor looks to be in 4:3 which means (generally) that it's not HD.
SOOOO... maybe the table is older than we think?
...
Same as I use.. 1$ to 10$ recordings.
Mostly a bit worn too.
Fremer has one hidden away in his basement, waiting to get up enough courage to tell his wife that there's a new second mortgage on their house and that the balance of their 401k has now gone negative ;-)
Cheers,
SB
Yeah, I think I saw one of those right next to the Crosley USB table at Fry's.
