I remember seeing the James Cotton band at a very small bar in Detroit in the late 1960s. I remember at one point James leaving the stage and leading members of the audience in a conga line type dance around the room, wailing on his harmonica all the while. The band kept up with him the entire time. Of course the place was so small the whole thing didn't take that long. RIP James and thanks for the great times.
Scotch and some Cotton tonight. RIP!!!
RIP J.C.> His harp playing and the way he started with Muddy will live on in his LP's and on the radio as WPFW 89.3 FM is doing right now pure blues with Bill Wax as the DJ today. Glad there are still radio stations that play blues non-commercial of course.
