I have an Incoginto wired Rega RB300 and would like to clean the leads/connectors that attatch to the cartridge.
Can't seem to find a tool that will fit in the tiny clips.
Does anyone know of something that can be used without damaging the clips?
Thanks, Nick

But I go one step further. I apply Mapleshade Silclear to the cartridge pins before I place the leads back on the cartridge. Silclear is that paste with lots of microscopic silver suspended in the paste.
Good connections make all the difference in the world for low level detail retrieval and applying the Silclear to the cartridge pins is one of the tweaks that is very effective. Progold does a very good job of cleaning contacts but the Silclear makes that connection much more effective. It is something to hear to be believed.
I use a LOMC cartridge and the use of Silclear is that much more important at the cartridge connections due to the low levels of the current flowing through that connection. Its definately easy to recommend.

after Sgreen's advice, here is what I do.
With DeoxIT or other Caig products, I use a round wooden toothpick. I dip that into the cleaner, wipe it against the inside bottle neck (remembering less is more), then insert it into the cartridge pin clip and rotate it. I guess plastic toothpicks could work too but I assume wood being absorptive they carry a little more solution without it being more than needed.

Good idea. Thanks
I pull the clips off very gently, under a lighted magnifying glass using a miniature fine point needlenose plier Then spray with a tiny drop of DeOxIt and push the clips back on twisting gently while they're wet. Seems to work! Jeepers- be careful.
I always apply Caig DeoxIT Gold to all connections including cartridge clips. It seems to prevent electrical problems. I've been doing it for many years and I don't have connection problems, period.
Good luck,

John, That is exactly what I do - been doing for more that 15 years without incident.

Qui tacet consentit.
John, what do use to apply the DeoxIT to the clip?
(nt)
Hmmm. My DeoxIT Gold is a spray can with no brush but finding a small brush should be no problem.
Nick....I suggest you just leave it alone. When you fool with those little clips, you will find that they fall off after awhile. There is no benefit to cleaning them.
Thanks.
I'll take your advice on that as I did have a bad experience with the clips on a previous tonearm.
