Picked up a stereo Magical mystery tour, parlophone, sort of an orange/red color label, from venezuela. I didn't look closely enough and there is a serious edge warp and a couple of scratches that had been hidden by a layer of dust. It isn't playable. My question is whether these are the same quality pressings as the british parlophone ones? Had it been in good condition would it have been better sounding than the US capitol pressings? Thanks Norm

Because remember in the UK MMT was only released on an EP until 1976 and then EMI released it as an LP using US Stampers.
I doubt it would be in the same ballpark as the UK issues or even the US ones. All the "Latin American" pressings I've heard are marginal.
an EMI/Odeon pressing which I believe are quite common licensed pressings of the Beatles catalog in south America.
