And if you'd have read my profile, you'd have seen this: "Forty three years of motorcycle riding hasn't helped my hearing any, but I still love to do it. (Yes, I wear ear plugs)"
Is that a picture of your bike? If so, nice! I'm a fan of solo seats and drag bars. That's how my Shovel is set up too. Or, it was. I went to apes and a solo seat, but want to change it back to drag bars, because I love the look. The apes are more comfortable, but now that I have an Electra-Glide for trips, the drag bars won't be an issue for around town.
Here's a picture from about fifteen years ago, pre solo seat.
Follow Ups:
Minus the paint job, and numerous other changes the bike looked very similar to this for my trip.
Very schveet looking scoot, my brother rides an older Sporty 1000.
My bike has a couple of looks depending on the season, (rainy vs dry).
Purchased in 2008 I rode the bike from S. FL to N. CA and back, alone averaging more than 800 miles a day. It still had Honda colors then but was already bobbed when I bought it so needless to say I made the trip with only the clothes on my back lol.

800 miles per day? Damn! I did 1003 miles in one 17 hour day last year from SC, headed towards Laconia NH for bike week, and thought that was a lot. And that was on a cushy Bagger with air shocks and a couch for a seat. We stopped in Connecticut for the night, then rode the last 300+ miles the next day. But 800 per day, especially on that solo seat is bustin' ass!
I'm planning a trip to CA next summer, and knowing the men I ride with, they'11 want to do it in one day. We'd have kept going on our Laconia run, but one guy's eyes were eaten up by pollen and he couldn't see, so we stopped for the night.
Thanks for the head's up on the King Logo. I was curious.
Ride safe.
Well, on the last leg of the return trip due to circumstances beyond my control it consisted of the last two legs. Meaning 25hrs and 1500 miles in the saddle. I collapsed into my wife's arms and slept for 14hrs when I got home.

I might have forgotten to mention I was 51yrs old, had previously broken my back (crushed two vertibrae, herniated a disc, and compressed two other discs) less than three months prior, and the best part, and most likely the only reason I was dumb enough to do this alone, I only had four days riding experience when I started the ride.
What an idiot
Oh ya, I left on April 1st, that's right, very appropriately April fools day and I was definitely "the fool".

And I thought I was nuts! It was my second year of riding (which, given where I lived at the time meant that I had about a total of 5 months experience because of long winters) that I decided to take a trip.
I got on my new Harley and rode it across state, and directly through the New York City expressway system during rush hour. Total chaos, and not something I'd recommend for any rider, much less with one with as little experience as I had.
Somehow I lived...And learned.
