I've had several Sansui S-5000a receivers. THAT receiver was a lesson learned that good audio can be done on a budget.
Truth be told I was always a closet Sansui fan. However much like Pioneer I always felt Sansui's (and Pioneer) better sounding stereos were their receivers and lower powered units. I tried many a high powered Sansui and Pioneer and always preferred those simpler receivers.
Get it and enjoy it. Then consider having all the capacitors redone. They are starting to age out. And think of how much better it will sound after that's done. An easy job that most anyone can do.
