Funny story ...
At the local flea I found a small item I wanted. They sell on FleaBay for $5.
The seller was asking $9.
I offered $5 and was told that they sell for $9, with shipping, on eBay.
I said, since I am standing right here, why don't you just hand it to me so I don't have to pay shipping and I'll give you five bucks.
She stood her ground and did not budge.
Nuts.

Follow Ups:
That is a McIntosh C22 reissue. If you look at the link below, $3500.00 is a good price.
My comment was general, not specific to the C-22.
Sorry for not being clear.

My fault Dean, my response was to the original poster, not your comment. I should have changed the title line.
It certainly is an interesting piece to have pop up at a flea market.
The flea markets where I am are all held in fields, not the best place for buying electronics.
One has a flag pole in the center with a power outlet. I've carried units across the field and plugged them in to see if they light up.
I've made some good buys, but its certainly a risk without testing.
Biggest surprise was a Thorens TD-125 that was being sold as "dead" for very cheap money. I brought it home, put a belt on it and it was fine.
I wonder if the seller knew it needed a belt ?

Or this one.
