I believe Goodwill made a mistake....
Tonight I stopped in a Goodwill store and found this HK 580i receiver...it appeared someone had tested it and could not get it to work.
I found an antenna lying around, put it on, connected one speaker (It was the only one with a wire) and shazzam! The receiver worked great! Tested the other channel and it works just as good.
But Goodwill made a mistake....if they knew it worked, it would have been priced at $100....they had it marked $20! Needs a little cleaning but otherwise looks good!
Now I am off to see if I can find any specs....
Have a great weekend hunting!
Regards,
Phil

Not that I don't think you got a great deal, 'cause you certainly did. That's a beauty!
But $20 for a non-working receiver? $100 for a working receiver in a thrift shop isn't very "thrifty", either.
Our Goodwill probably would've put $30 on it if it worked & thrown it out if it didn't.
Cheers & congrats on your new toy!
Bobbo :-)
They may have been waiting for the relays to click over and Harman Kardon stuff from the 80's doesn't use relays.
I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.
Fantastic for you!!! Looks great! I like the Pro7AVs in the background, too.
