It called SIC Cree Schottky diodes. I used 600 volt 8 amp. The diodes only drop 1.1 volts at 3 amp current draw in most 50 watts amps. Higher wattage amps at up to 8 amps current drops 1.75 volts. Hexfred always drops 1.75 volts.
Schottky has high leakage and gets worst with temperature rise, thus must have heatsinks. (This is per a member at DIY Audio).
Apparently Hexfred has lower leakage. But, I have used both and use a 1/2 size TO-220 heatsink on either TO-220 diode.
Scottky has zero crossover distortion, Hexfred very low crossover distortion.
