I'm waiting to install mine til I can decide on an upgrade outlet. I run AG Duos and OTLs and value transparency and detail but without sizzle or glare. Not wanting to go nuts on $$$ but I can get what I want if justified. I would really value your suggestion for an all out assault and then something maybe a step or two back, assuming all out assault is synonymous with top dollar (as is usually the case, it seems).
TIA

What make/model AC outlet is installed at the wall, at this time?
What make/model AC plug is connected to that AC outlet, acres verde?
I am not a student of these things so I really don't know the plug on the power cord except to say it looks very similar to plugs I have seen you or others post pix of from time to time with the barrel consisting of what LOOKS like CF capped on each end by what by what looks like brushed aluminum or some other shiny metal and the blades themselves are also a shiny silvery looking metal. The barrels have "GROFEI" on them FWIW. These are power cords from Jack Bybee BTW.
Outlets are just regular old contractor grade crap.
The Oyaide R0 Beryllium AC outlet is what I recommend. It features unplated polished beryllium copper contacts, with no glare whatsoever involved with the sonic signature. It's very detailed without sounding analytical; a musical-sounding AC outlet. It should perform excellent to use with your type of audio system and goals, acres verde.
You can purchase an Oyaide R0 AC outlet directly from Japan via eBay for less than $100 with free expedited shipping (DHL or FedEx).

...I made the decision and pulled the trigger on the Oyaide RO. Once installed and settled, I'll let you know how it all pans out.
I look forward to a report in the forum, acres verde.
Thanks so much Duster. I think I'm gonna do the deed. I was wondering if you were going to reco the Furtech rhodiums (I think) which I've heard some rumblings about. BTW, believe it or not I am a complete EBAY newb. When you say "buy from Japan" do you mean from distributor, a retailer and how do I guard against fraud/counterfeit. You da man.
eBay sellers located in Japan sell the product at a lower price point. If you want to buy the product from a US retailer, the price is substantially higher. Japanese sellers are known for being very trustworthy, so fraud is not an issue to be concerned about, in my experience. Would you prefer to source the product from a US retailer?
Please forgive me. I see you already provided a link in your earlier post. Somehow, I managed to miss it. Thanks again.
I'm fine with buying from Japan if it's a safe bet that the product is genuine. I just have read too many stories of woe here about counterfeit goods and, again, I'm an EBAY newb. Do you have a name or link to anyone you might recommend? Again, TIA
I have ordered many products from Japan, and always have been very pleased with the Japanese sellers.
BTW, there are no fake Oyaide R0 AC outlets in the Asian marketplace, so no worries about the possibility of that issue, acres verde.
