What type of connector do I need to connect an FM antenna to an Outlaw 975 surround processor? Is it a 75 ohm female plug as shown in this ebay listing? I tried a male 75 ohm f-type connector but that did not want to plug in to the Outlaw.
Follow Ups:
Similar to, but not exactly compatible with the "F" style fittings used in the US (and the F being still used on 'digital' cable connections -- at least in my house!).Like F connectors, there are two genders -- male and female.
PAL connectors used to be available from Radio Shack -- Parts Express has one flavor, though, last I knew.
Amazon ought to turn up F to PAL adaptors of the correct gender.
all the best,

Thanks!
Hi Doublej,
That looks like it's configured for a push-on coax connector. The antenna you linked has an appropriate connector.
In my experience, antennae of those type aren't highly effective, but if the station(s) you desire are nearby or have strong signals, it might be adequate.
If you choose some other type of antenna, you'll need a cable or adaptor with a push-on connector to mate with the jack on the Outlaw. Look for something that resembles the one pictured at the linked site.
Not to be skimped on.
