Anyone heard one? I just bought one, based upon FM Tuner Info Center's good review.
Honestly, it is very good sounding. Stunning on some stations. Looks like crap but is very surprising.
Just wondering.

Hi Audiogatorjim,
Yes I have one, yes they sound very good. If you have the means, simple cap replacement will improve the imaging depth and width, bass will tighten up nicely. Better yet, its pretty easy to implement.
The tuner lacks an audio output buffer in stock form, there's a schematic for a DIY buffer that fits inside the case tied to the FM Tuner review that lets this little beastie play with the best of the best. This mod is a little tougher, but worth the effort.
You can see a completed one with the buffer here:

Enjoy your new toy!

Thanks Hoosier for the great post. I think I'll take a look and try the mods. To my ears, all sounds great; bass may be a tad light.
I am going to AB tonight against my Accuphase T100. Anything close and I will sell the T100. I really like it but need to finance a pre/amp.
my Hitachi 5500 Mk 2 in every listenable category. Listening to one tuner can give a nice presentation - introducing another and switching between each other can give a clear-cut decision, especially if one is far superior to the other. Which, in the case of the Accuphase, is surely evident.
Or something like that.
I have heard one, once through QUAD 57s, and it ate the QUAD FM3, but it should have.
Note that a post in response is preferred.
