Hi,
Would a tuner sold to work in the UK work without any issues in Australia? I'm thinking of getting a Rega Radio 3 and it's not easy to get in Australia (and rediculously expensive for what you get too).
Obviously power supply isn't a problem, so I am thinking more of things like tuning frequency range and de-emphasis, etc.
Thanks
Follow Ups:
A European tuner will work correctly in Australia. A US tuner with a multi-primary voltage input set to 220 volts would not perform correctly in Australia. Europe has a closer FM station spacing and different de-emphasis. A European tuner usually has better selectivity vs a US built tuner. An American tuner would have the treble suppressed due to de-emphsis settings too. Tuners from Japan have a different FM frequency range and are not usable in Australia.
As are de-emphasis etc. It will likely need a good antenna.Does it have AM and is that wide audio-bandwidth AM?
If you've read this, a response is preferred.
