$3,250 for the pair!

Follow Ups:
Not only for tubes people pay to much. Some people buy an output transformer with a price over $250 each and just for a 300B. Core material, copper and normal labor is always less then that even in Amerika. Only the very specials wit amourhous core or nanocrystalline core cost a max $150 extra. Silver wire is just for fools.

Gold-plated sockets and steel pin tubes seem to work just as well.

They are not GZ34. Probably 5Z4 or 5V4 tubes branded as GZ34. I have Mullard GZ32 tubes branded GZ34.
My Dynaco MKIII amps came with Mullard GZ34.
They are rugged devices suited for vintage gear but not best for "ultra fi" SE applications.
5U4G is a better choice or fast recovery SS diodes with snubbers.

It is a vanity purchase for those who find the 6AU4GTA is too mundane to consider or can't deal with the required two tubes.
The GZ34 was introduced in 1954.
Those are not GZ34s, and they are not 1930s.
Octal base was first introduced in 1935 by RCA for metal tubes.
They are in fact GZ32s, most likely Brimar made. Whether Brimar or Mullard, they will have codes somewhere. If they are not on the bottom base, then they are likely after 1954.
That ad is complete BS
Looking again at those photos, the tubes are labeled (GZ32) GZ34. I put this seller on my 'No Fly' list.

Put them in the Louvre.

Ok, not nt after all. Some nitwit accused me of making a racist post, and I want to state that he was incorrect.
It was a reference to a cartoon dog's expression. To said nitwit: Even allowing for the fact that you might not understand the reference, THINK: wtf would I choose to comment on some ridiculously overpriced tubes by assuming the virtual persona of an asian person and then make fun of their language???
WHO THE F*#K WOULD DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT ??!

Ok, not nt after all.The 'rotso ruck rorge' thing was a reference to a cartoon dog's expression.
It was not racist in the original cartoon, and I did not intend my use of the phrase
to be racist in any way.I appreciate the fact that it was pointed out that someone might find it to be racist.
However, if people can mistake my post for something it is not, I think they are reaching too far.
There are plenty of more important things for citizens to do in order to make our nation a fair and just place for everyone.

Sorry, I blew right by the "Reorge" and I was not a big fan of the Jetsons. However if you do a Google on "Rots of Ruck" you will immediately see that this expression has racial implications. It is very hard these days to remain "PC" and as I stated I was pretty sure there was no intention of a slur on your part. Again, sorry for the confusion.
But just to be clear 1) I did not call you a racist and I gave you the benefit of any doubt in my post; 2) the expression is racist even if a cartoon dog used it (we just found out that Dr. Seuss had anti-Asian sentiments in some of his books); 3) I am not a nitwit and, unlike yourself, I do not resort to name calling on this site or any other.

I suspect that you probably had no intention of making a racial slur but that expression is definitely racist and, at a time when anti-Asian sentiment seems to be on the rise, you should be a little bit more sensitive.

Uh dude it's Astro the dog, from the Jetsons... maybe you're hearing it different tly than I am but nothing racial just a silly dog voice!
+1. Beyond laughable in fact.
Never seen a GZ34 in a ST bottle shape, but those are pretty.
And I thought the metal base ones are expensive, geez.
I should pull it out and test it and sell it!

Never seen a ST shaped GZ-34 before but do have at least one ST shaped GZ-32 made by one of the Phillips companies (Holland? England?).
And they arenīt even made by Mullard. At that price I demand tubes made by Mullard, not Brimar.
Cheers
Roland
Since Amperex, Brimar, Mullard, Mazda et al were all under the Phillips umbrella what is the difference? At the end of the day they all swapped tubes to suit one anothers demand.
It sucks to get old. It really sucks to get old and bitter.
