Here's one pretty decent tube, one opened, 4 unopened. (Left) And a couple of the larger one.
Follow Ups:
I was thinking they would probably have some of the external anode tetrodes lying around. The 8877 is a nice one, used to be popular in ham radio HF kilowatt amps. The smaller ones like 4CX150 and 4CX250 were also popular at one time, mostly for VHF repeaters. What do you mean they "pressured him to wrap things up"? I hope you don't mean the rest were thrown away.

I see that Eimacs (new?) go for around $2k. I wonder if NOS is less or more desirable? My friend got five of them, so no complaints. He also grabbed some Tung sols and some other cools stuff for $300 altogether.
As for "winding things up," we've all been there as collectors: one sibling says, "take everything, just buy me a six pack," but then another sibling shows up and is far more cautious and suspicious of anything that one is interested in. Granted, it's their stuff, they inherited after all.
Good news is that it's all going into storage sheds.
" it's all going into storage sheds. "
That's good. Be a major shame to see it hauled to the dump.
