Has anyone ever used this tube? I know Pete Millett inquired about it at one time but
no one had any information for him. Cool looking tube, wondering if it could be used as
a driver.

I have accunalated a few of these but have never got round to using . It's like a type 10 with a spiral 6.3V 2.75A TT filament and fat , round carbon anode . Very fragile is all I can comment apart from that , have had a few arrive with open fils

Thanks, that gives me somewhere to start. Once I get my new tube workbench finished
I plan on experimenting with these. I have about a half dozen of these now, I have had
the fil problem with EIMAC tubes in the past but all of these arrived intact, maybe I'm
just lucky.

Not sure about these, but prepare a hot-anode de-gas operation for their first firing. Ground the grid to the cathode CT, and apply enough voltage to be sure it is conducting properly.
cheers,

Friend, I would not hurt thee for the world...but thou art standing where I am about to shoot.
Thanks Douglas
Good idea, I will do that.

"...a medium-power triode designed specifically for highly efficient operation at frequencies from 50 to 300 megacycles...."
looks like plate dissipation is ~15 watts -
I really think it is a power tube for transmission/broadcast -
I would not use it as a driver tube (unless driving 845 or other high power tube)
