If anyone here has a Scott LK-150, I am wondering what your experiences are with the power tubes, 6550/KT88 and if you have any preferences or tubes that particularly stood out, good or bad.....Thanks.
Jim
Follow Ups:
I run it with GE 6550, which produces the best sound to my ears. After I switched to GE 6550 and Tungsram 6BL8 (with adapters), the amp never sounded better. I compared it to my MC275 and LK-150 won hands down (3 other people thought the same) - although MC runs some crazy tubes E83CC, 6060, SED 6550, etc.
2 very different amps!
I would expect them to sound different-
and I am not surprised that the GE 6550s work well in the Scott!
Happy Listening
