I actually had a look at the data sheet. It's not a direct equivalent by any means. The main differences off the bat I can see are the screen voltage ratings and signal input requirements.

I have a quad of the KT8Cs I bought in 2006 for 75 dollars for a NOS/NIB quad on Ebay.They sound ok but lack the muscle of the KT66 or 6L6GC but I also had to make adapters to make them work. Where do you want to use them?
