I intend to build a pair of Reichter 300B SE Amp but would like to have proper schematics and parts list and advises!. I have a copy of an article from Herb Reichert + hand-drawn schematics but quite unclear and unreadable. Please help. If one of you build it your comments will be welcome!
Also would like to hear comments from someone who listen to such a unit and let us know what he thinks about it.Patrick
Hi Patrick,Also, check out this impression of the flesh and blood at the Ariel speaker project pages. Lynn's a fan!

Hi Jack,
In fact I am in the process of completing the construction of a pair of Ariel Mk4.5 and precisely from these pages you refered to, I have taken the decision to build these Reicherts amps.Patrick
Hey Patrick,I've never heard this unit either and I looked at it long and hard before starting my own 300B project. Like you, I also asked around the various newsgroups and the consensus was that it was not the be-all, end-all of amps. Not only that, but 'heard that even Reichert made some changes later (none of which could I find any documentation on.) I think what you and the rest of us have succumbed to is a great piece of sales literature. It is very convinceing. That said, I imagine the Reichert amp will probably be a helluva good sounding amp. 'Just not sure that it is the pinnacle of SET design.
It's very difficult to decide on a DIY project. I ended up going for a very simple two stage with IT design with a gonzo power supply.

look at the last iteration of his 5842/300B amp.
Hey, it sounds good to me........ as good as the Reichert ??? Who knows....
Good luck,
john
Hi,I have built a version of Reichert's similar to this
Sorry,The second link should be:
Also, I'm using CTG aluminum housed power resistors, not RCDs (although RCDs would probably be good too). Mills wirewounds also worked well.
Parts source in addition to Angela's and Bottlehead:
Follow the link. The schemo is still hand drawn, but readable. never seen the Flesh and Blood in anything but a hand drawn version.

Thanks for your link to April Sound. Did you ever listen to this amp?
Patrick
Never heard it. Have thought about building it, but I "think" about building lots of things ;-).
