Going to use these in my VTL 5.5 pre for replacement. 270ouf/400 volt
Follow Ups:
Since the late 1990s there were three of them in the amp wired in triode mode, and four for the pentode mode amp.
Both amps are now in pentode mode and one of them has had a 4th cap added, in the last year or so. My techie may have checked and replaced one or two of the original 7, but I can't recall that on any of his reports and bills.
The last two in the PSUs are bypassed. On each amp one of the caps sits in the hole where the GZ34 rectifier was. ;-) and :-)
4 over rated Soft Recovery SS diodes in a full wave bridge and snubbed to boot!

Yes
Get the 105 degree ones. The other lytic I'm very fond of is the Philips BC but they are priced higher but they are a great cap.

yep, have been using both nichicon and panasonic for years.
The 105 deg are good and so are the lower ESR types.
Do not recall what brand was used in VTL, but the nichicons are likely a better quality cap than what was used originally.
YES! Nichicon and Panasonic have been go to brands for a while. Matsushita Electric seems to have fallen on hard times and the variety in Panasonic branded parts has declined. Nichicon has taken up some of the slack. While doing some digging, I came across the data sheet linked below. Nichcon is offering some very useful values in 600 WVDC/105 o C. rated parts
