Hi all!
Can I use D3a (wired in triode) for all positions of Aikido?? What is the suggested B+ voltage?
Thanks!
Follow Ups:
There is only one tube section in each D3a, all the Aikido boards use twin triodes. If you are trying to undertake a point to point build of a n Aikido with 8 tubes, all I would advise is that there are easier ways to create a buffered attenuator.
What is the B+ voltage you guess for Aikido with D3a in triode?
That tube has an amplification factor of 77. How much gain are you needing?
150V on the plate and 20mA would not be a bad point. 8 tubes at 20mA will cause you to have a very stout +200mA B+ supply. a 320v B+ would work.
Use the recommended cathode resistor of 470 to generate the 10 v of bias for around 20mA at 150-160 volts across each tube
WOW!! 200mA! What a current?
Refer to 5687 Aikido, it has several different B+ voltage for Aikido with 5687> What are their differences? Which one do you prefer?
