I need to buy or build a set of stereo line-level cables for a fairly long run between an organ effects loop and my tube amps. The driver devices in the effects loop have a low Z output between 1K and 10K, and the input Z of my amps is 100K. The cable run will be nearly 25'. Does anyone know which of the commercial cables (or raw shielded mic/audio cable on a spool) are lowest capacitance?

An O/P impedance of 1--10 KOhms is not particularly low. FWIW, I'd buffer that effects loop with a HIGH current/ LOW O/P impedance setup. Such a long cable length MUST be shielded and that implies quite a bit of capacitance to charge and discharge.
Eli D.
After researching the cables suggested here, I realized that the low capacitance variety were out of my price range for this project. One brand rang up at about $120-150 for two mono cables. So, I went out this evening and picked up 50' of RG-58U. It runs about 100 pF per meter, so the 3dB frequency at 25' with a 10K source will be over 20kHz, and more than 200kHz with a 1K source. Given that the organ probably doesn't produce any harmonic energy over 10kHz or so, this is more than good enough. Total cost: ~$20 plus connectors from my junkbox.
Eli, your caveat would be right on if this were hi-fi. In fact, I would never run a line-level cable so long in a high end audio system.
For anyone interested, the link below has calculators for line length VS cable capacitance VS 3dB frequency response.
Thanks again!

Maybe a little late but you really can't do much better than standard balanced audio cable at about 15-20 pF per foot. The digital cables and starquad tend to run closer to 15 pF per foot.
Hi, Triode Kingdom. I use this as microphone cable and line level. Canare also makes excellent RCA plugs. Made in a rainbow of jacket colors including black. You can buy it terminated. I prefer to do
my own. Excellent dialectric. High purity copper. No nonsense pricing. The irradiated polyolefin dialectric behaves much like Teflon. I think
you will be pleased.

IMO, Belden 1801 is a good choice. It's designed for AES digital audio and has lower capacitance than most mic cable.
Better yet, look on the Belden and other major manufactures websites. They all publish standard engineering specifications for their products.
Won't find that data on any audiophile cable site!
"Belden 1801 is a good choice"
The only thing I find at the Belden site is 1801B, shielded twisted pair. Is that what you meant? I'm looking for coaxial cable. You're right about the boutique stuff having no useful published specs. It's appalling, given the asking prices.
