Here's another PS design that my friend and I have been thinking about. Same chokes. Any comments or suggestions would be great. The power trannie in this version is a Hammond 273X.Here is a link to the post I made earlier.
Follow Ups:
Are your chokes designed for choke input? Yes, many use a smoothing choke for input duty, but it is something to think about.
Hi,Try it with a stepped load (right click the current source) just to se the responce.
I think it will fair well.mvh /Pär
p.s.
I guess the 200mOhm figure is a bit high, or are they data figures?, so just run it with five times the figure as well to se what may change.
d.s.
I'd increase the capacitance of one of the two LC filters, so that you filter at different frequencies. If you use a 5AR4, you could probably put up to 200uF in each location (but not the same amounts!) due to increased current handling. Personally, I'd suggest 150uF then 50uF. Otherwise it looks just fine.
Thanks. I post on different forums with the same question, because usually I can get different points of view. Unless the thread turns a different direction completely off topic.I'm just slowly working through the options and I really appreciate the feedback on some of my questions as I'm trying to learn!
yup. i do the same, which is why i saw all of them :) good luck with getting more answers, each forum has a great, helpful crowd :)
