In Reply to: RE: How many here still have cassette stashes of new Blank Hi End tapes. posted by Cougar on December 28, 2020 at 09:31:57
I gave away all the new blank tapes I still had prior to moving last year.
Too bad I didn't know you might be interested.

Follow Ups:
I didn't know you had those, I would have gladly taken them off your hands. I still have a few Decks my main one the Luxman K03, I have a Nakamichi RX-202 with the flip tape Carousel, A Denon, a Yamaha 1200, NAD, and a Marantz 5220. Got rid of the Nakamichi Dragon after I got the Luxman, better machine in opinion.
How you doing and how is it back there after a year? Hope all is well.
The tapes I gave away were new, sealed. I did move something close to 100 carefully recorded cassettes. Over the years I owned H-K, Denon, Aiwa (770), Yamaha, and Pioneer decks. I also had a Tandberg (310?) and a Nak 480, purchased because of the reputation for the brands, but I was disappointed in the performance of both of those. An indication not to buy the bottom of the line, even from a recommended company.
I need to replace one of the belts in my Pioneer S800 so I can play my tapes. I've put that off because it is a somewhat complicated procedure.
