Here is a picture of the connections for a 12" Monitor Gold Belvedere. This is what I would expect. Have you checked the provenance of the speakers you believe to be Belvedere's?

That isn't clear enough to make a distinction. Mine are original. Trust me on that.
Oh well I suppose this is going to be harder than I thought.

According to that Canuck Audio Mart ad, the stock inputs were upgraded with modern 5-way gold binding posts that look like this.
Yes could be, but Belvederes were produced from 1964 until, when, 1969 (can't locate them after the 1968 catalogue)? Before spring terminals came about as far as I remember.
Still, more information welcome.
Possible that the bottom corner Wire clip holes were plugged and filled at some point .. these are/were ~ 1/8" holes, once the spring clip gizmos are removed.
Fairly easily plugged dealt with If one wanted to bother (don't know why one would tho), rather than simply replacing the spring clips with normal binding posts. Which was clearly done.
That said: All manner of discordant anomalies left the Tannoy factory.
It's conceivable that a few oddities went out the door.
Beige plastic boxes were obstensibly only fitted to Golds, produced from '67 to '74.
Tannoy 'Boxes' were an afterthought product, to quell Dealer demands..indicative of V little

This product seems to be what was chosen for the upgrade.
