Nice detailed writeup, but the 70 1/2 Camaro was lost in the upgrade!Understand, had a nice cherry Vespa I just sold last week, Was a Retirement gift for wife and she had not ridden in several years (actually I wouldn't let her). Hard to let go of, but it was just sitting and aging without the joy of riding.
After your years with the Meridians, I never would have picked the Vivid Audios as marks you would have considered. Glad you are enjoying them but bit sad that projects of previous passion had to be used to gain new units in another passion.

Great write up and very informative. What I find hard to understand is that I see you have spent money and thought on room treatment , but you casually state that you don't use audiophile racks or other supports. That is a huge error for a man who has speakers like yours! I am sure that you are thinking it would be money wasted, but you would literally be shacked what proper supports for your componenents and speakers would do to make the sound, especially the bass, even more lifelike then it is now. Starsound and Townshend are a great place to start. It wouldn't be money wasted.
