I use Herbie's gliders too, however the speakers that the OP uses are vintage. They are finished on all sides and don't have the T-nut inserts for studs and might not want the adhesive on the veneer. Sounds like he wants to build low jack type dollies to make them easy to move.
Exactly. However, I just realized that the stands I got can probably accept nail-in sliders that should take care of the problem. I think the bases are thick enough to accept a 1/2 inch nail or maybe even a T-nut.
I restored a CR 2020 and gave it to a young budding vinylophile.

I'm impressed by the phono stages on it. No modern receiver has bested it including the Outlaw RR 2150
