Exactly! Why don't people understand that from the begining(?)

I can understand such a request if it is about a prospective purchase but not if the guy already has both of them in house.

The problem is that it is not so easy to figure out which one I like better. First of all, the sound of the two is very similar and there is very little to prefer about one over the other. To the extent that they sound different, the difference seems more dependent on what amp is driving them. I have tested them with four different amps. I like the Paradigm better when driven by the Onkyo and Denon, but the Infinity better with Harman Kardon. The issue is also complicated by the fact that the system must due double duty with HT, and I already have Primus center and surround speakers. On the non-musical front, the Paradigm spent 9 years in a house with pets and kids and has obviously been knocked around quite a bit. Obviously it is ultimately my decision, but I was curious about the opinions of others about these two speakers. Incidentally, I read your review in Stereophile.
Any comments you get from me or others will be based on the conditions in which we heard the speakers. For example, all my reviews are based on auditions in one of my listening rooms with the amps I had on hand at the time, none of which may be similar to your situation.
All our choices are based on complex and multiple parameters, some of them subconscious. Good luck.
