For me JBL will always be an important historical marker in the evolution of speakers. I think they were among the first to really promote and produce tweeters that gave speakers speed and detail. Their 075 bullet, the 175 potato masher, and the still highly sought after king of tweeters the 375. I have a sentimental nattachment to mine which are from 1959 which I inhereted from my father. I do have a second pair that I think would benefit from a crossover modification, yielding more bass from those big alnico woofers.
