I went with 18" based on the recommendation of Skylan. Put's the tweeter at the right listening height for me. What stands are you considering ?
Good luck,
Keith

I already got all the parts from Home Depot, just need to make the correct height. I will be making them from MDF platforms and 3" wide pvc tubing. (4 x 3" wide lengths for each stand)
I will cut pvc according to the desired height, and use threaded spikes on bottom of platform.
I will paint em black and then fill the pvc with sand when finished ...
Thanks
Mike

If you've not already thought of this, don't have the bottom of the speaker sit flat on the stand panel. Harbeths are designed so the cabinet walls flex. You want to only have the bottom speaker cabinet panel contact the stand at three or four points. You don't need very much clearance, so Blu-tack or Sorbothane disks are fine. (I use the latter with my Spendors.)
Do you have a link where to purchase the Sorbothane disks.
Thanks for the heads up, i was thinking of useing some blu-tack but did'nt want to mess up the veneer.
I was thinking of getting some felt disks or the like intsead...
Thanks
Mike
Personally I'm not keen on very soft decouplers, take a look at Symposium footers, Golden Sound DH cones or maybe Herbie's Grungebuster Dots or Thin Fat Dots. Of course YMMV.
Have a look at these gizmos. You can search these website pages for similar offerings.Edit: I just re-looked at the web page and saw this. Might be Ok to just cut small pieces to suit your situation. The price is right.

The sorbothane disks I use came with my Sound Anchors, but if you look online it isn't too hard to find places where you can buy small sheets of it for not too outrageous a price. Try eBay or Google to find a seller.
