Anyone hear these before? These got decent review from TAS last year. Great price, free shipping and tax. The smaller models are also on sale.

Since when does a company like Mirage make a +seven thousand dollar a pair speaker? I wonder if they ever sold one pair.
Being omni-directional these are pretty room dependent. I heard them once and they seemed pretty nice. But, that's a lot of money for Canadian speakers from a PSB, Paradygm, etc, level of company.
Actually, if you're familiar with the Mirage brand, you'll know that in the late '80s they released the M1 that was $6000. It was considered a great speaker and, at its time, hardly cheap. Twenty years later, the OMD-28 isn't priced that much higher and it, too, is a great loudspeaker.

I have owned the Mirage M-1, it is a fantastic loudspeaker. I have also heard the OMD-28, and although I liked it, I found the M-1 to be superior.
I have a set of Mirage M1's. They weigh 185lbs EACH. About 5 feet tall, Two Bass, Two mids, Two tweeters, firing both front & back. Look like the monolith from the film 2001. I paid C$3600 back then for a used set returned to the dealer. A bit over 1/2 price. Had a Mark Levenson no.23 driving them. Bass to 18Hz...The good old days...

Now I have two Bryston 4B's Bi-Amping to them. I plan to exchange the X-Over for an Active Bryston 10B for the Bass/Mid but keep the existing Mid/High with the passive built-in crossover. Anyone try an Active X-over with these, or a Computer Software Crossover filter? I think Digital Room Correction will be hard to do because of the Bi-polar nature so I'm avoiding that. DRC is doable, with 12 channels of amplification & 12 correction filters just for one stereo set of speakers.... I'm not there yet..:-)
Cheers!
Here's a very nice little speaker for $300 a pair. Put a reasonable sub on these (Mirage makes a very good inexpensive sub) and you've got a nice little system for cheap.
