  i filled mine with a combo of Sand-lead shot for my Dynaco A-25's- Great is a not strong enough word for them.

  I can't say enough good things about Skylan stands. Noel will custom-make the top-plate so it perfectly fits the bottom of the speaker. They look great, sound great, and are not expensive. You can get whatever height you want (26-28 should be ok for S3/5's).

  I put Skylans under all my speakers, yes, I've had them on S3/5se's and currently have them under my LS3/5a's.
