I am about to aquire a pair of Harbeth Super HL5 bookshelf speakers. Dimensions are (h x w x d) 638mm x 322mm x 300mm. Can someone recommend a pair of quality stands for the Harbeth Super HL5?
Follow Ups:
I am using the somethingSolid XF stands which, to me, in my system, sounded better than the Skylan stands. They can be purchased from Chevin Audio in the UK. See the link below. Email me directly for a picture if you need it, although there is a photo on the Harbeth USer Group Picture site.I bought them in a 16.5" size and they work perfectly in my system. Harbeth seems to be endorsing the Skylan stands these days and Noel makes a 16" stand specifically for the SHL 5's. If you go in that direction, Noel is a nice guy and he can send you a picture of the stands for the HL5's.
Good Luck,
Joe
I've always liked Sound Anchor stands, but Harbeth now recommends Skylan stands from Canada, which I also have a pair. Skylans are a nice stand and they are inexpensive. Sound Anchors are super but a bit pricey.
Unfortunately, the Skylan SKY-24D which is the only one they make for Harbeth SHL5 is 24-inches tall. That makes the SHL5 and stand 52" which is taller than my ear level.I think it has to be a Sound Anchor for my SHL5. The SA stands are 16" tall.
Noel can make you a custom height stand from Skylan. I'm pretty sure there is no extra charge. Email him to be sure. I love mine.
