I have recently purchased a pair of beautiful Quad 12L's in piano rosewood, and I need to get a new pair of stands to really bring them out. I would like to get something that can be sand filled, but of course, I don't want to end up spending more on the stands than I did on the speakers. Any suggestions?
Follow Ups:
I had their stands for my AN K's and they were excellent well finished solid and most of relatively inexpensive for what you get. $200.00Cdn for a high mass sand fillible dual post stand with smooth corners to save your toes. Noel runs the company which is small but the advantage is that he will custom make them for you. After the US conversion then you'll be laughing.
Thank you both for your input and trust with skylan stands. I also read some good things about them in an independant review. They seem like the way to go. I appreciate all of your help
I own a Skylan Equipment rack (SMP-3300) and it is of the highest quality and I am very very happy with it. I have heard systems which use their Speaker stands and they are built to the same high standards and sound quite good.Highly recommended.
Dynaudio has a fine looking one column stand which they recommend for their 42 and 52 models.
Donīt know what this Stand 1 model should cost, but the bigger Stand 2 retails for EUR 300 in Europe.
Thanks for the input. I will look them up
