The Grafyx SP (standard of performance) series was built by August Systems in Champaign IL.August Systems also built large PA sound systems for groups like REO Speedwagon.
The woofers were built by Gefco, the tweeter was a Norelco (Philips) AD01624, a 1" polycarbonate dome with phase plug and ferrofluid. If you were careful you could use a 100W amp on them.

You just answered a question for me that i always wondered about. I remembered Grafyx from years ago and thought it was an Illinois based company, but i wasn't sure. Living in the suburbs of Chicago, i saw more than a few pairs of these floating around. Sean

thanks for the info,one woofer has been replaced with an oaktron. ill have to experiment and see what kind of matched pair ive got in my stock that will work in these cabs. maybe a pair of nos polydax which have bexetrene cones? its swap and try time.
