No, I haven't but the fact that several very enthusiastic users referenced the exact same DAC (high quality but low volume sales) in their feedback did give me pause as to review-authenticity.
As I understand it, the power-supply of the Max Mini has been so improved over recent years that there is now little room in which Core Audio can effect much improvement.
Am sorry that you didn't avail yourself of the 30 day MBG following purchase since the heavy outlay delivered doubtful benefit.
Follow Ups:
I tried to get core audio to repair or refund so many times...
over two hundred emails, and i never recieved a power supply that would work more than a few minutes.
as to the "warranty," ryan said it was void, because he claimed the unit was opened, by my friend Phil. Phil has never even seen the outside of the box. Neither of us opened it. It was supposedly under warranty...
Interestingly enough, it came with missing, and mis-matched screws securing the covers. (From the very first)!
I'm guessing it was a re-cycled, inopperative unit that ryan kept shuffling around.
And from what i've heard, he keeps claiming things are opened, and warrantys voided...
beware
