Have been happily using a pair of Eric Barbour's SV811-10 monoblocks for many years.
Originally, coupling caps were .47uf and when I did the later circuit modification (using a 6EM7 driver in place of 6SN7), he said the original cap value could be kept.
In looking at a more recent schematic though, the value has been increased to 2 uf.
I'm still using .47uf and everything works and sounds fine. Would I notice much difference if I switched to 2uf? They are fairly pricey.

I don't think you would hear the difference. You might be better off with the higher F3 (smaller capacitor), it tends to solve other problems. Your speakers will not play down far enough for the lower frequency F3 to be heard anyway.

Yes, it still has 47k resistor.
I'd be slightly more concerned with getting replacement SV811-10 tubes. Or is this not such a big deal these days?
cheers,

I have a few spares, and they seem to last forever.
One has been working continuously for over 20 years and still sounds good.
