Is anyone familiar with Waamamps? I'm looking at their 2A3 / 45 SET and need some references about build quality, sound quality, etc.

Given the prices, the output transformers should be far larger.

That's a good point: the builder goes into a lot of detail about easily replaced components but never mentions the output transformers. I have to laugh at the tiny transformers on the 807 amp. I remember years ago in one of the first issues of Sound Practices there was a build article on a SE 807 amp and the Magnequest SE output transformer was huge; much larger than a 300B OP transformer. The ones on the Waamamps 807 appear to be from an early 60s Japanese PP 6BQ5 amp. As far as I am concerned, the bulk of the price of an amp and the most important components are the power and output transformers. I would never buy an amp without knowing what output transformer was included.
