I 'know' them, or of them from Penn & Teller but in what way do they derive from Randy California & Co?they're no Kapt. Kopter, Jo-Jo Gun, or Staehely Brothers

the Spirit band spawned a few acts when they fell apart
including a shallow imitation of ... Spirit
I had some pals that tried to get me into your second band listed
the same ones that liked Springsteen a bit later
I'll stick with J. Geils for 'east coast' blue collar rockers

Live Blow Your Face Out was one of the first records I ever bought in the early mid 70s and might be my favorite live record of all time. J. Geils is for sure one of my favorite bands of all times.
