90s grrrrl group
I guess I don't pay enough attention to lyrics, 'cause I never knew he was saying L7 , and never cared enough to try and figure out exactly what he was saying.
Of course then I had to search L7, to figure out what that meant. Well, I'll be damned. The light-bulb has come on...Fifty years late, perhaps, but it's on.
Thanks Musetap!

Anyway, we can ALL learn something from Domingo "Sam" Samudio.

But let's not forget Betty Rubble.

They were the first rock and roll band I saw in person. They were on the John Bartholomew Tucker show and some how my dad got tickets and we joined the studio audience for Sam the Sham but to my dismay they not only were lip syncing but they had fake guitars! Yes paper Guitars! So that's why I say in person and not live.
Do you remember the JBT show? I thought he was local but wikipida has him as a east coast personality maybe he was just doing a stint in SF.

paper guitars!?!?!?!?
What a SHAM!
A lot of those bands in that period were stuck doing some bonehead things, sounds like that was one of them.
Never heard of the John Bartholomew Tucker show before.
Here's Sam a bit later with a real band - check out the sax player!
Later Gator.
