Is what you get when taking Mike Portnoy and putting him with Disturb's bassist, guitarist Mike Orlando and front them with the powerful vocals of Russell from Symphony X. You might expect this to be a bit progressive and noodlely but not the case at all, their album Omerta is straight forward power rock along the lines of Godsmack or Drowning Pool. Omerta may not strike you as being very innovative but it does rock from start to end, and includes a good cover of Duran Duran's, Undone and a couple of what I suppose you'd call power ballads. Check out some samples, if you like to rock this one is an album to pick up.
Follow Ups:
I have heard a few cuts from the AM album and I need to get it.
Have you heard the Kill Devil Hill album? I really like it! And the recording is pretty decent
with great bass!
I haven't heard KDH yet but I will check it out now.
