AF,
Glad you got it working. But it seems like a lot of trouble to waste on Foobar. Why not use cplay?
And what kind of latencies are you getting in dpc latency checker?
When I was using remotes with my rig like the IR keyspan one or a WMCE remote the added latency was crazy. Removing these remotes in favor of a wireless usb mouse helped a ton. I hope you are having a different experience then I did.
That is a great feature to be able to turn off the monitor from the chair. I might even have tried to implement it but a future room change puts the monitor right next to me so I think I can just hit the button. But one never knows, so thanks for figuring that out.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply! I will let you know about current latency asap, might not be able to check it this week due to work. Latency used to be on par with cplay (11-min, 42-max), what is your score?
I use Foobar as I can tweak it. My menu for example shows info like lossless or lossy, the codec used, decoding time, time elapsed per track/total.
CPLAY has no configuration options at all as far as I know or am I wrong?
Besides that I want to be able to use kernelstreaming as well and cplay only uses asio?
AF,
Thanks for the info.
I have to check but i remember latency being min of 1 or 2 (mostly 2 during the whole test) and a max of 26 or 36 I think. Try removing your remote and running the test with a normal ps2 mouse or usb.
I am a bit confused. If you are using CMP with Foobar, then arent all the menus on foobar really superfluous? But i suppose KS makes sense if you dont have hardware that supports ASIO. But it would be interesting to see how Cplay compare using asio4all which is kind of like KS anyhow.
