Has anyone used the E(nahnced) D(igital) O(utlet) applet on their SB Touches? Mine is working fine now, but that's never gooooood enough for us right?
It's delicate, and I don't want to screw it up by adding something that may or may not make a difference, but I'm just 'askin.
Follow Ups:
Ruby shows that it's working, sound is deeper and more detailed. Using USB until my coax cable arrives from the jungle today.
Still can't believe Logitech discontinued this little miracle box. It's got some issues, but just keeps plugging along.
Looking at RPi's, but for now I think I'm good.
I used it for a long time too. It works well. I think you can only use one digital output at a time with it though, which was always coax for me. These days I just use the SBT's analog outputs, it's fine for my non-music purposes, probably OK for music too considering the "systems" the SBTs are connected to...
[I have replaced the SBTs with RPi4s and USB DACs for more "serious" listening. It's overkill for me, except in my main systems. I wish I had more SBTs actually.]
Use it all the time. Works fine, only constraint is not all DACs can handle the USB connection. There is a list around of those that are known to work. Overall I would recommend it.
