I'm no computer expert. Always downloaded from PonoMusic. With them gone I just tried Acoustic Sounds Super Hirez. The first track downloaded about 75% then seemed to pause. Track 2 started downloading - paused. Track 3 started etc. Every track failed.
JRiver provided the downloader to Pono, Super Hirez, and HDTracks. Once in a while the internet would glitch. Pono would just download other tracks then redo glitched track. Super HiRez is trying to do the same thing but it never works.
My Super HiRez download file is ~ 159mb. It is supposed to be over 900mb for the whole album. What do I do to fix this? Using 17" Dell i5 W7 laptop. Thanks
Follow Ups:
Close the downloader and retry. Repeat until your download is complete. I have the same problem. It may help to unplug your modem, and let it reset before you try to download, and maybe it won't.Nothing makes me happier than to check the status of my download and to see that all the songs have "failed." In fact I have put off buying the Bowie boxed set, "Who Can I Be Now" just because I know it would be an exercise in misery.
You will succeed eventually. Keep trying.
Edit: one more tip, go into the menu of the downloader and reduce the number of songs downloaded at one time from three to one. It may help.

I'm wondering if you've experienced similar problems with downloads from HDTracks or other download sites that use the downloader application? Or is the problem more of an issue with Super HiRez?
I ask because the downloader has been very reliable for me on HDTracks handling several simultaneous downloads.
Just finished downloading 30 hi res songs on HDtracks. Not one failure.

That is interesting and good to know.So what is causing the failures with Super HiRez? Something in their equipment? Improper set up on their end?
I also only had a few songs cause a problem with Pono. I did have this same problem with Bandcamp. Figured they didn't have as good a downloader. Pono, HDTracks, and Super HiRez have very similar downloaders provided by JRMC.

Yes you can tell SHR and HDT have the same JRMC downloader. Still the SHR one has issues. I'm sure it's on their end. I have always had problems downloading from SHR. I thought the issue was with my internet connection.

Was afraid it was something to do with my computer. Glad to know it isn't. Slowly working my way through the album that was purchased. It is taking forever. The downloader has to be baby sat and restarted when, it hangs up, every few minutes. If all downloads were this tough I would pass.
Thanks for the help Mr_Steady and everyone else.
No I haven't tried HDtracks yet. I had very few problems with Pono, but very bad luck with Superhirez. I will have to give HDtracks a try. They are the same price as Superhirez, so what the hell.

Haven't tried HDTracks yet. The Super HiRez was my first attempt to download after the Pono closure. Actually, I did download 2 Neil Young hi res albums from his Warner's site. Worked great. They were both big files.
I considered trying a different computer, but can't find a place to get the Super HiRez downloader again. It may only be downloadable with a first purchase on a particular computer.
May try HDTracks this weekend.
Thanks for the help.
