Just DAYS after inmate 'trouser-trout' sends his new iPhone back because it's not very good with file handling. :-)

I was surprised at how long it took Apple to make a window re-sizeable from any edge or corner instead of just one single corner. I think Microsoft had that as an exclusive for over a decade, which left me scratching my head. It doesn't seem like it would require a rocket surgeon to add that extremely useful feature.
It took them a while to get onboard with a two button mouse. Apple used a one button mouse for years but I wasn't using Mac during that time. I made the switch to Mac when they adopted Intel architecture over PowerPC CPUs about 10 years ago.

I didn't know they ever went beyond two buttons, but that could easily be my own ignorance. The only time I used a Mac was back around 2009 so I could write the instructions for connecting a USB DAC. The least expensive was a Mac-Mini (with the Intel processor), but I supplied the keyboard, mouse, and display. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Apple programs *responded* to right-button mouse clicks on my existing mouse, but I don't recall that Apple had one available - at least at that time.
Their current offering apparently has a top surface sensitive to multi-finger gestures. Personally that whole idea seems somewhat counter-intuitive and reminds me of the '70s-era Saturday Night Live "spoof" commercial for the early digital wristwatch that was so advanced "it required three hands to operate".
I started using Macs only a year or two prior to your 2009 experience with the Mac Mini. It's been a while but I seem to recall having to go into System Preferences > Mouse in order to enable the right mouse button for two button operation.I own the previous generation AA battery powered Apple mouse that has a smooth top surface for finger gestures. I use it when I travel because it's flat and packs well in my laptop bag. Otherwise I prefer the feel of real buttons and a real scroll wheel in my older Logitech.
Apple Magic Mouse 2 is rechargeable. My older model uses AA batteries but looks the same.
I prefer my Logitech mouse similar to this one for daily use at my desk.
Some early Apple one-button mice.
