Hmmh.
No instructions ??? Nonsense!
If you think a $10 donation is too much for 1000s of hours of work over the years and a great package, I think something goes wrong here!!!!
You don't have a clue what it means to go public with such a package.
There are plenty of packages out there still free - go for these!
I'd be more than surprised though, if a guy like you ever hit a "Donate" button on any of the other packages!!
The places where all these folks offer rather immediate support are well known!
And. From my experience - I got better and faster support from any of these folks, then I got from commercial software providers.
You know. You better chase those, who rip you off with audiophile prices for all kind of nonsense. There are plenty of them around.
What all these distro providers do - must be highly appreciated!
You know. Your attitude sucks!
Follow Ups:
I think we as 'consumers' are too quick to ignore the time, energy and effort put in my people who 'Donate' their knowledge, time and experience and 'share' with others. Where would computer audio be without Foobar and all those who spent countless hours on a project only to share openly and freely with everyone.
People are not only ungrateful but feel entitled. We put in demands of this and that to fix, add usage or correct problems like they 'owe' us something.

to find Tim Curtis as he is just an email/tweet away.
And yes, I sent him $10 via PayPal yesterday, long before I posted the above. And yes, he responds to questions and provides personal support on his software in a matter of hin minutes, in most cases, via both email and Twitter.
From my own perspective, I would rather deal with a 'one man band', if you will, than software designed by committee.
Rain here this AM so no bike ride which leaves me nothing to do but fuss with the Raspberry Pi.
Hopefully, I can figure it out without having to 'Chase Tim Curtis all over the Interntes!" =:-0
But if I do, it turns out he's easy to find and very helpful!
Great so you are getting more than your money's worth.
Guess you don't need us anymore...:-(

REALLY want to send 'bullethead' some cigars for his humidor. Of course, he says he's fine an no thanks but...
Anyone who can slip me his address via inmate mail and it's cigars for 'bullethead'.
Raspberry Pi/HiFiBerry Digi+ Pro is now in the main system streaming the above (just released yesterday) via QOBUZ using the much maligned PiCorePlayer. Getting better (richer sounding) over the last few hours as the 'toobs' warm up on the 300B SET amps. In fact, I'm on the Brahms No. 4 now and need to go back to the No. 1 I played a couple hours ago, after just cranking up the system, to make sure it's the amps warming up and not that the No. 4 is that much better recorded. ;-)
What I really need to do is to firm up the baseline in my head before I try the switch to MOODE Audio.
no cigars please, :)
I had ordered a couple of boxes last year, my humidors are full.
I have on the "Ambient Cookbook" (4 cd set) playing now for the past few hours, even through a nap I just woke up from with the Rune Audio setup.
cheers!

I should be donating to a lot more of these people than I do/did.
Good for you and enjoy.

Link below: Some of you guy are just TOO easy.
I bought it. It worked, but I didn't see any improvement over 3.1 SQ wise. Volumio and Rune are both free and better IMO. Also dead simple to set up.
PiCorePlayer sounds no worse streaming TIDAL or QOBUZ from my MacBook Air to the same DAC so I'm not complaining.
That said, I'd like to have both internet streaming as LMS allows PLUS plug a stick with CD rips or even Hi Rez downloads into the Raspberry Pi directly.
If it sounds better, that's icing on the cake and might even replace the headless Mac Mini in my main system. A second Raspberry Pi somewhere on the network running LMS and all the 'traditional computers' and their overhead are out of the audio chain.
Yep. The others are free - if you just ignore the "donate" buttons!!!
Enjoy.
