So I can somehow have BOTH? I'll be able to stream TIDAL and QOBUZ using Squeezelite while running Moode Audio v3.5 and play music from a USB stick hanging out of my Raspberry Pi?
Would a try.
Let us know how it sounds compared to PiPoorPlayer. ;-)
Follow Ups:
Yes you can use and have all the standard functionality of Squeezelite/LMS just like PiCorePlayer
AND/OR
Use MDP to play your music from USB stick, NAS etc. and play Internet radio streams.
Just click Configure-> Audio and turn Squeezelite On/Off

Yes, I could flash the one that's in there now but I think I'll wait and see if I can get this working.
So, how does it sound?
OK, you didn't seem to have a problem with PcP's sound, nor do I for that matter.
Assuming you still have to have a computer on your network running LMS to enjoy the LMS functionality?
Sure, I use the same computer for LMS with PiCore as I do with Moode.
LMS is still the server, Moode like PiCore uses Squeezelite as a Renderer.
-or-
It can be used in MPD mode to have MPD be both the server and the Renderer.
I have a bunch of Rpi's and a dozen or so SD cards. Right now I have one with Moode, one with PiCore in the kitchen and one with Dietpi in my main system. One is on reserve and is my test dummy.
All use the same LMS machine for music.
