Brian, I have stared at your photos many times before now, but today I notice that in the left rear corner of the PS chassis, there appears to be a loose washer. If I am correct, it's probably harmless, but obviously you may want to remove it lest it short something out.
Also re the question about Vcaps, yours seems to have Vcaps on the phono section output stage, coupling to the linestage. But elsewhere I think I see REL TFTF teflon capacitors (mostly), which are also very expensive and excellent sounding. Few manufacturers use parts of this quality, regardless of retail cost.
and it's not a loose washer; it's more likely the top side of a threaded insert for the feet. Sorry about that.
I didn't notice anything rattling around inside. It might be worth a look to see what you described, though.

I think by now you've discovered that I was wrong in the first instance. What I see there is probably the top of the threaded insert for the footer. Viewed from above, as in the photo you posted, it appears to be a free washer, because it is bare metal and washer-shaped.
Cpmpared to the previous incarnation?
Quiet. Dynamic. More "there."

Hey Brian
Did I see on the Atma website, all the capacitors can be upgraded to the V-Cap?
One option available is V-Caps throughout, so yes, I think you are correct.
